Fred Armendariz

Fred Armendariz is the Founder and CEO of ProcureAmerica. The company provides business intelligence services to government agencies, healthcare organizations, and educational institutions. Fred has held senior executive positions in both the private and public sectors, including service to one US President and two California Governors.

In 1989, he founded a technology company in Southern California and led the organization until its sale in 2000; during his tenure as CEO, he and his company received many awards and distinctions, including being named in 1996 as one of INC Magazine’s 500 fastest-growing companies in America. In 2001, President George W. Bush appointed him to the US Small Business Administration, where he oversaw all Federal Government programs for business development and small business procurement policy. Collaterally, he also worked with White House staff in developing the President’s Management Agenda, focusing on competitive sourcing and procurement programs.

In 2005, Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger appointed him as Chairman of the California Alcohol Beverage Control Board, serving in this position for over 8 years. He is a graduate of the University of Southern California and is involved in various civic and philanthropic organizations. Fred and his wife, Amy, reside in Whitefish, Montana.
